Bride & Groom #3: Jia & Daniel

Photography by Richard Min

Jia and Daniel, their boundless journey as the Bride & Groom will embark in the month of July of this year. The courtship began when they were studying at UCSB. Santa Barbara brought many fond memories and was a significant location for the couple. They spent much of their dating, eating, studying and just hanging out casually without thinking about exams and projects in downtown malls and restaurants of Santa Barbara. The place called "Coffee Cat" was J&D's favorite spot. Thus, the streets and the beaches of SB was perfect for the photography backdrop. Not just the role of a backdrop, but it was ideal setting for Jia & Daniel's "one of a kind" story. The whole engagement session was done in SB. It wasn't so short drive all the way from Los Angeles per se, but it was worth it~ Meaningful and Unique images are what I am into. I hope J&D will cherish the beautiful images that I captured for them through out their journey as a Wife and a Husband. Wishing J&D God's many blessings..!!

The LEEs : Family Portrait Session

Photography by Richard Min

@ Singer Park, Pasadena, CA

The LEEs celebrated their Memorial Day weekend by having a Family portrait session at the park. Everyone had a blast..!! So did the youngest of the family: Baby girl Dahae. =) I lost track of the time and the session lasted little over 2 hours. As I was seeing each of their faces and smiles in my camera's viewfinder, I prayed and hoped for many blessings for the LEEs. God's grace and love will be with them forever and may Almighty God be glorified through their precious lives. Amen.

A Little Ring Boy Breakdancing

Photography by Richard Min

A ring boy at Elsy & Lester's wedding arrived in a black tuxedo with a bow tie around his neck. And of course there was his ring bearer pillow. He appeared very quiet, reserved and shy in the beginning. I wanted to take portrait shots of him and told this little boy, "Don't be shy and just be yourself..!" But when his uncle heard me saying this, He said, "Oh no... You don't want to see him being himself..~" I didn't know what this meant. When the ceremony ended and the music at the dance floor started playing... He got rid of his black tuxedo jacket and a white slack, untucked his t-shirt and started to move his hands and body to the "tick-tack" beat of the music. Suddenly he became a different person. He didn't care what other people think of him. He was breakdancing..!! I forgot to ask his name. I became his fan and followed him everywhere he put his steps on the dance floor. And then I knew what his uncle was trying to say. He was awesome..!!!
